Frommer's Review
The only year-round casino in Land Salzburg occupies the soaring Schloss Klessheim, a baroque palace designed by one of the most influential architects of Austria's baroque age, Fischer von Erlach. The minimum bet is 5€ ($6.50) at both the roulette and blackjack tables. Monday night is poker night. To enter the casino, you must present some form of identification, either a driver's license or a passport. There's also a dress code: Except during the hottest months of summer, men are encouraged to wear jackets and ties. The complex is open daily from 3pm to 3am.
To get here, drive west along highway A1, exiting at the SCHLOSS KLESSHEIM exit, about 1.5km (1 mile) west of the center of Salzburg. The casino also runs red-sided shuttle buses that depart, without charge, from the rocky base of the Mönchsberg every hour on the half-hour daily from 2:30pm to midnight.

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
