Stroll the vibrant Gaslamp Quarter, cruise across the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge, head up to La Jolla for upscale shopping and dining, or explore dramatic Torrey Pines State Reserve. Whatever you do, dress in layers and bring a sweatshirt -- Southern California mornings are often cool and foggy (especially near the ocean), and it gets chilly after sundown.
