One is the original 1906 boarding house, designed by San Diego's legendary architecture team of Irving Gill and William Hebbard, featuring six guest rooms; the second building was constructed from the ground up and completed in 2009. Nicely complementing the historic building, it offers the more spacious accommodations (11 suites and junior suites), as well as plusses like spa tubs, fireplaces, private entrances, and balconies or patios. Each room is named and tastefully themed after a Coronado-related person or place, and is adorned with vintage postcards, photos, and newspaper articles. The buffet breakfast includes a scrumptious entree, and afternoon wine and cheese are served in the homey parlor.
