This oceanfront motor hotel offers simple, attractive, spacious rooms with contemporary furnishings. The nonsmoking property has a bit of sophistication uncommon in this surfer-populated area, but you won't find much solitude with the boisterous scene outside. You can't beat the sand access and the view -- both are directly onto the beach. Rates vary according to the view, but most rooms have at least a partial ocean view; all have a private balcony or patio. Units in front are most desirable; but take note, it can get noisy directly above the boardwalk. Go for the second or third floor, or pick one of the junior suites, which have huge bathrooms and pool views.
