Frommer's Review
Typical of a 500-year-old building turned hotel, the rooms here can't seem to agree on a style or decor scheme, but most retain some element from the 14th-century palazzo -- a painted wood-beam ceiling here, an old stone wall in a bathroom there, or a brick barrel vault filling one room. Accommodations overlook the pretty well of the tower-lined piazza out front or across a garden next door and rooftops to a glimpse of the countryside. (A few, however, overlook the partially glassed-in courtyard of the lobby.) "Superior" rooms are merely larger and come with minibars. The rooms are smaller and less well appointed and posh than those at Hotel La Cisterna or the Antico Pozzo , but this place has more vestigial Renaissance charm than the Bel Soggiorno , plus the most central location in town.
