Hotels here aren't cheap, nor are they by any measure the finest lodgings in Tuscany. However, there is a special ambience about the center of San Gimignano at dusk, when the tour groups are gone, so below we recommend our favorites in the town itself. Or look into a farmhouse bed-and-breakfast or agriturismo nearby, of which there are dozens.
