Frommer's Review
Just off the Avenida Paulista, L'Hotel is one of São Paulo's most elegant boutique hotels. The plain and modern facade does not do justice to the chic interior. L'Hotel's interior is warm and welcoming and with only 80 rooms, the service is attentive and friendly. Rooms are luxuriously furnished with elegant antique furniture, a queen- or king-size bed with top-quality linen, goose down pillows and a pleasant well-lit work space. Bathrooms feature bathtubs, lovely Spanish marble finishings, and high-end l'Occitane amenities. The suites feature a separate sitting room with a comfortable couch and armchair, a stereo, and cordless phone. There's a small but well-designed fitness center, a spa, a small heated indoor pool, and a business center. The hotel also has an excellent in-house bakery in case you want to grab a quick bite. Please note that the prices listed are the high season rack rates. Call or e-mail for discount rates. Weekend packages, including welcome drink, can often be booked for as low as R$600 (US$300/£162) for 2 nights.
Facilities:
Restaurant; bar; small indoor pool; fitness center; business center; 24-hr. room service; laundry; dry cleaning; nonsmoking floors

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
