Taiwan-based Din Tai Fung has outlets all over the Asia-Pacific region, including nine in Singapore -- the Paragon Shopping Centre location was its first here. Famous for excellent-quality dim sum at an affordable price, this eatery has become a standard for Singaporean Chinese. The menu is not extensive but covers all the bases: dumplings and buns, rice and noodle dishes, soup, cold dishes, and vegetables.
