Frommer's Review
The ultimate in luxury hotels, The Ritz-Carlton blazes trails with sophisticated ultramodern design, sumptuous comfort, and stimulating art. Grand public spaces, lighted by futuristic window designs and splashed with artworks from the likes of Frank Stella, Dale Chihuly, David Hockney, and Andy Warhol, are a welcome change from international chain hotel design cliché. In comparison, guest rooms display a great deal of warmth and hominess. All rooms have spectacular views of either Kallang Bay or the more majestic Marina Bay. Even the bathrooms have views, as the huge tubs are placed under octagonal picture windows so you can gaze as you bathe. Oh, the decadence! Guest rooms here are about 25% larger than most five-star rooms elsewhere, providing ample space for big two-poster beds and full walk-in closets.
