Frommer's Review

This small tourist-class hotel has some of the most consistently professional and courteous staff I've encountered. A short walk from Orchard, York is convenient though far enough removed to provide a relaxing atmosphere. Guest rooms reflect a sharp contemporary style in light woods, natural tones, and simple lines. Combined with an already spacious room, the result is an airy, cooling effect. Bathrooms throughout are downright huge. Cabana rooms look out to a pool and sun deck decorated with giant palms. Despite surrounding buildings, it doesn't feel claustrophobic, as do some of the more centrally situated hotels. There's a Jacuzzi, but the business center is tiny as is the fitness center. The rates here have gone up a bit, so make sure you ask for promotional discounts.
