Frommer's Review
Lloyd's is a budget motel in every sense. It's a two-story building on a relatively quiet, low-traffic street. The corridors are open-air and the rooms are small, with a definite budget feeling, though all have air-conditioning and phones. Rooms are midsize with windows and en-suite bathrooms. They seem to be doing a better job with upkeep than they have in the past. The published rates include the "+++" taxes; there's no discount offered for long-term stays; you must pay for your room when you check in; and if you use a credit card, it'll cost you an extra 2%. No pool, no fitness center, no nothing -- you got your room, that's what you got. Front counter staff is very nice.
Facilities:
Same-day laundry service plus self-service launderette

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
