Frommer's Review
Set in a cozy corner on the edge of Little India, this place is popular with backpackers; the lobby is a nice place to read the paper or chat with other travelers from around the world. Located on a quaint alley in a row of restored prewar shophouses, the lodge feels very homey, with a friendly family-run ambience. The lobby cafe has only simple wooden tables and chairs, serving breakfast and snacks to house guests only. Upstairs, guest room corridors can be a bit noisy from footsteps on the wooden floors, but otherwise the place is quite smart. Small tidy rooms have spotless en-suite bathrooms with shower stalls. Simple furniture provides closet, desk, and bedside storage. Some local textiles add a bit of charm. Good management and a congenial travel-friendly atmosphere make this a top pick for budget-conscious travelers.
