Frommer's Review
The Aurora is on a quiet courtyard just off Corso Mazzini, where it exits Piazza Libertà, with amenities and a level of comfort surprisingly high for its two-star rating and low prices. The modern rooms have been refitted with faux 19th-century cherry-veneer furniture, new beds, and rich, quasi-Renaissance-style fabrics on the cloth headboards, coverlets, and window curtains. The worn carpet is currently being replaced with hardwood flooring. A few rooms have balconies. The hotel is allied with the Apollinare, a restaurant below that's famed for its fine Umbrian cuisine (add 16€/$21 per person for half-board option and 26€/$34 for full-board plan).
Facilities:
Highly recommended restaurant Apollinare (one of the best in town); outdoor pool; concierge; tour desk; car-rental desk; courtesy car; limited room service (breakfast)
