Frommer's Review
This restaurant is for folks who want to dine among the rich and jaded at Le Toiny -- St. Barts's most expensive hotel -- but aren't willing to mortgage their futures for a room. Your meal is served in an open-air pavilion adjacent to the resort's pool, with a view that sweeps out over the wide blue sea. The emphasis is French, casually stylish, and offhanded in a way that might remind you of a particularly rich version of bohemian Paris. At lunchtime, menu items might include ravioli with red pepper and goat cheese, marinated tuna or shrimp, and chicken fettuccini with soy sauce and vegetables. After dark, choices are even more exquisite. The best examples include rack and saddle of lamb, Chilean sea bass, and crayfish served under waffle pasta. The cuisine, the setting, and the first-rate ingredients make for a memorable meal.
