How can you not love a place that advertises "corked wine, warm beer, lousy food, view of the car park" with a staff "hand-picked from the sleaziest dives, mental institutions, and top-security prisons?" Savvy locals and celebrity regulars know that the sound system, food, and prices rock at this beloved haunt nicknamed Chez Andy after Brit owner Andrew Hall. Worthy specialties include a hot goat-cheese salad with bacon, bell peppers, and onions; crispy battered Creole cod balls, shrimp Creole; pastas; and thin-crust pizzas from the wood-burning oven. Andy will finish off your evening (and you) with a bottomless carafe of free vanilla or orange rum.
