Frommer's Review
In the Holger Danske Hotel, this modern addition to the St. Croix restaurant scene offers both indoor and outdoor dining at the western start of the Christiansted boardwalk. Owners Brett and Amy Fitzgerald try to give diners the sophistication and gourmet taste of a city restaurant without all the fuss of a dress code. Their martini lounge has become an instant hit with locals and visitors alike, as has their menu. Choices are creative, including chipotle chicken pasta, lobster bisque, sweet and spicy Thai curry, and a vegetable tower. On Sunday, The Mix hosts a breakfast buffet for $20. Visitors have their choice of breakfast foods, barbecue, pasta, and seafood, as well as a complimentary mimosa or bloody mary.

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
