There's a sandy beach at the Tamarind Reef's doorstep and good snorkeling along the reef. Wholesale renovations, completed in January of 2007, have given a fresh, bright new look to the resort. Each motel-style room features a garden patio or private balcony, affording guests a view of the Caribbean. In addition, 18 of the suites have kitchenettes and accommodate up to four people. For those who want to explore St. Croix underwater, the hotel offers complimentary snorkeling equipment and kayaks. Adjoining the hotel is the Green Cay Marina, where guests can charter boats for deep-sea fishing or sailing expeditions.

Guests can relax by the pool and enjoy cocktails, light lunches, and snacks from the poolside bar and grill. For more formal dining, the hotel's restaurant, Galleon, at the adjacent Green Cay Marina, serves French and northern Italian cuisine.
