Frommer's Review
This is an intimate retreat catering only to couples or adult singles. Lying about a 20-minute drive from Christiansted, it is located next to the Salt River Bay Park where Columbus anchored in 1493 to get fresh water. It is one of the most private enclaves on the island -- private transportation is needed because of the remote location. There is no restaurant on-site but the property adjoins the Salt River Marina with its Columbus Cove Restaurant. The condos are built around a West Indian plantation great house and each unit is its own functioning studio or suite, with a full kitchen and an oceanfront balcony. The grounds feature a banana garden and a small oceanside pool. Guests come to get away from the crowds, but don't expect much in terms of swimming and watersports, although you can snorkel right in front of the property. Regardless, a short walk will bring you to an adequate swimming beach. Kayak tours and scuba diving along Salt River Wall can also be arranged at the marina.
Facilities:
