Frommer's Review
Chef/owner Gerard (J.J.) Felix is one of the island's best cooks and most welcoming hosts. In lush foliage, the restaurant, which abuts the edge of Marigot Bay, has managed to thrive smack in the midst of the area's recent construction boom. The fish and seafood are freshly caught and seasoned with locally grown herbs and fruits from island gardens. J.J. used to sail the world on his vessel, Vendredi 13, learning new recipes and different languages. Nowadays, the most popular event here occurs every Wednesday night, which is devoted to his finger-licking callaloo crab feast as local bands play. The joint, which you'll recognize by its green trim, also serves Creole-style lobster, shrimp, prime meats, and chicken dishes.
