Frommer's Review
This hotel, which is not to be confused with its better-equipped and spiffier twin, the Bay Gardens Beach Resort, offers one of the best values, as well as some of the best service, on the island. It's not right on the sands but Reduit Beach, one of St. Lucia's finest, is a 5-minute walk or a complimentary 2-minute shuttle ride away. Bay Gardens opens onto a large atrium lobby with a designer fountain pool and bamboo furnishings. Their medium-size bedrooms in vivid florals contain a terrace or balcony, and tropical art and accessories. Families might rent one of the eight apartments, each a self-contained unit with a kitchenette. Look for weekly rum punches, barbecues, Caribbean buffets, and live music on occasion.
