Frommer's Review
This is a true Caribbean Shangri-La, ideal for a honeymoon. Just above the fishing village of Soufrière and overlooking the Pitons, German-born Peter Gloger runs this glamorous little inn. A 5-minute walk from the beach, this property is surrounded by tropical trees, including mago (patois for mango), mahogany, papaya, maracuya (passion fruit), and banana. Each of the accommodations has only three walls; the other side of the room is open to a view of the mountains and sea. Guests sleep in four-poster beds underneath ceilings of painted clouds, with mosquito netting for protection from insects. Each unit comes with a small shower-only bathroom and a spacious private terrace. The most recently built units are four large bedrooms with teakwood furnishings or handcrafted antiques along with plunge pools, hammocks, and large sliding doors opening to the terrace and pool. The food is excellent, and it's served at communal tables surrounded by carved African chairs.
