Frommer's Review
It's special, it's fun, and there's nothing like it on St. Lucia. An elite retreat, it sprawls across a cliff overlooking the Caribbean and evokes a little laid-back village. A hideaway for those seeking a tranquil getaway, it was designed by Wayne Brown, one of the founders of Anse Chastanet. Standing on over 6 hectares (16 acres) of lushly planted grounds, it offers beautifully furnished and comfortable bedrooms in individual cottages trimmed in gingerbread or else a dozen units in duplex cottages. Each of the accommodations comes with a spacious porch with a hammock. Bedrooms are furnished with four-posters along with a private open-air garden shower, and some have their own plunge pool. A wooden staircase, 166 steps down, leads to a secluded cove of white sands. An on-site restaurant, House of Food (Kai M'jame, in Creole patois) serves excellent fresh meals overlooking the sea.
