An efficient chain hotel, the Rica City lacks a lot of soul, but boasts a fine address -- the location is perhaps the most central in Stockholm. "If the hotel doesn't warm your heart, the flower market is next door," one of the staff members told us. The hotel is also sandwiched between two of Stockholm's biggest department stores (PUB and Åhléns City). Inside, the hotel has small but comfortable guest rooms, each in a modern Scandinavian design and decked out with mirrors, hardwood trim, carpeting, and tiles. All units have neatly kept bathrooms with tub/showers. Although the hotel doesn't serve alcohol, it maintains a restaurant that's open Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 3pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am to 3pm. In the Wintergarden you can enjoy breakfast under the open sky but only in summer when the weather's fair.
