Slightly outside the city, but worth the trip, this local branch of the world-famous chain has the most comprehensive assortment of Swedish kitchen accessories and textiles available anywhere. IKEA began when its founder, Ingvar Kamprad, started selling matches to his neighbors back in the 1920s. Today it has stores in 24 countries, including Britain and the United States.
