Internet AccessWithout Your Own Computer Internet cafes in major tourist spots and in the towns and cities are easy to find. Hotels and lodges are increasingly offering Internet access to their guests, though this is usually more expensive than a street-side cafe. Although speed connections from landlines can be slow, satellite speeds are continually increasing and the cost is lowering; expect to pay little more than $1 per hour. With Your Own Computer Wi-Fi is catching on in Tanzania and is already accessible at Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar's airports, Arusha's International Conference Center, and in a number of luxury hotels. If you're bringing electrical equipment from the U.S., you'll need a current adapter as well as a converter. Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice. Please be sure to confirm all rates and details directly with the companies in question before planning your trip.
