Frommer's Review

Renovations in 2005 transformed the Hotel Tourist from dingy to spiffy. The gold-gilt borders of the high ceilings gleam, the crystal chandeliers sparkle, the breakfast room is a welcome addition. That said, the rooms are still on the small side and some of the bathrooms are small enough to make me resolve (again) to take up yoga. Still, an excellent value in a great location.
