Hotel Posada San Francisco de Tlaxcala

This hotel is in a 19th-century mansion facing the town's main square called La Casa de Piedra (House of Stone). Most guest rooms are in the back of the property in two modern buildings fronting a large pool that is shaded by a roof. The rooms are attractive and comfortable. Almost all have been remodeled in the last couple of years. Most have carpeting, but some have tile floors and area rugs. Five rooms in the zona antigua have more character but are smaller. They are in one of the original buildings and are grouped around a small stone patio.
