Coco Reef Resort & Spa

This is one of the largest beachfront hotels on the island, and it has a certain South Florida pizzazz. It's on Tobago's northern shore, near the airport. Most accommodations are in the two- and three-story main building, although about a half-dozen villas are scattered over the surrounding acreage. The designer incorporated a number of environmentally friendly features and used some recycled materials. The bedrooms are spacious, airy, and filled with wicker furniture. Most rooms have an intricately trimmed balcony. The hotel offers 15 suites with large balconies and patios overlooking the Caribbean and lush tropical gardens. The complex is near a trio of the island's best beaches -- Store Bay, Pigeon Point, and Coconut Beach itself, just steps from your room.
