Frommer's Review
Not only does the Umbria have some of the best food in Todi, it also has one of the best views -- call ahead in warm weather to reserve a table on the vine-shaded outdoor terrace. In winter you can warm yourself by the huge fireplace and dine in the 15th-century interior under wood-beam ceilings and wagon-wheel chandeliers. The spaghetti alla boscaiola is so scrumptious you almost needn't bother considering the polenta con fungi e tartufo nero (truffle shavings and bits of their poorer fungal relatives atop creamy polenta). Enjoy a steak grilled over the open fire, or try the popular fritto di mozarella, olive, e carciofi (fried mozzarella mixed with olives and artichokes) or the tender anatra stufata con lenticche (duck cooked, but not covered, with tomatoes and spices served with a side of tiny lentils).
