Housed in a handsome Gothic-style brick building constructed in 1910 as headquarters of the Imperial Guard, this gallery exhibits contemporary crafts, including pottery, ceramics, kimono, metalwork, glassware, lacquerware, bambooware, and more; objects are typically changed seasonally. Most exhibitions concentrate on a specific theme such as bambooware or the works of a single artist, usually one noted for skill in traditional arts. Unfortunately, the exhibition space is very limited; you can tour the place in 30 minutes or less.
