Frommer's Review
This is my top pick for a reasonably priced Japanese meal in Tokyo Station; offerings are so varied that you could dine here several days in a row, each time with a different dining experience. Owned by popular local chef Mikuni, it resembles an early-20th-century diner and is divided into themed sections flanking a central open kitchen. The conveyor-belt sushi counter, with dishes color-coded according to price, offers standards as well as original creations, including Mexican and Californian rolls. Diners help themselves to dishes that appeal to them. There are also so-called "compartment" set meals featuring French/Italian/Japanese fusion cuisine, served in retro-style booths, as well as inexpensive noodle and rice dishes served cafeteria-style. Weekday Continental lunches start at ¥1,050 ($10); at night, part of the restaurant transforms into a Japanese-style pub serving drinks and snacks. There's even a wine bar.
