Frommer's Review
Located across from the south end of Shinobazu Pond, this hotel has a good location near Ueno Park's many attractions and views of the park. Otherwise, it's rather ordinary, with clean, modern, and very small rooms with LCD TVs plus keyboards that double as computers. Ask for a room on an upper floor facing the park, since that view is this hotel's best feature. I also like the sky lounge on the top (10th) floor for its panoramic views, inexpensive lunches, and cocktails. Rooms with semi-double-size beds are available for ¥14,000 ($133) for couples on a budget, as well as Japanese-style tatami rooms.
