Frommer's Review
Isetan is a favorite among foreigners living in Tokyo. It has a good line of conservative work clothes, as well as contemporary and fashionable styles, including designer goods by Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto, Tsumori Chisato, Comme des Garcons, Marc Jacobs, and Sonia Rykiel; also large dress sizes (on the second floor). It has a great kimono section along with all the traditional accessories (obi, shoes, purses). In the annex, which carries mostly men's clothing, is a New Creator's Space on the ground floor, unique among Japanese department stores (which are generally reluctant to carry anything but the tried and true), that showcases clothing by up-and-coming Japanese designers of men's clothing. Open daily 10am to 8pm; closed some Wednesdays.
