A small cedar ball hanging above the door of this Ginza establishment signals that it's a sake shop, albeit with a sophisticated, coolly elegant interior. Established as sake brewers in Kanazawa in 1625, Fukumitsuya offers its own products here, along with sake flasks, glasses, snack bowls, and other accouterments. A tasting bar allows customers to sample brews for ¥315 ($3), while upstairs is a restaurant specializing in Japanese cuisine suited to sake. Open Monday to Saturday noon to 10pm; Sunday and holidays 11am to 7pm. Closed irregularly.
