A block from the Temple of Music and Art, The Royal Elizabeth is an 1878 Victorian adobe home that features an unusual combination of architectural styles that makes for a uniquely Southwestern-style inn. In classic 19th-century Tucson fashion, the old home looks thoroughly unpretentious from the outside, but inside you'll find beautiful woodwork and gorgeous Victorian-era antique furnishings. Guest rooms open off a large, high-ceilinged central hall. The immediate neighborhood isn't as attractive as the nearby El Presidio neighborhood, but art galleries, the Tucson Museum of Art, and several good restaurants are within walking distance.
