Planning a Trip

Getting There

The New York State Thruway (I-90) passes through the heart of it all. Amtrak, Greyhound, and Adirondack Trailways all arrive into Utica at Union Station, 321 Main St. (tel. 315/797-8962). The major airport in the area is Syracuse Hancock International.

Visitor Information

For the most detailed info, visit or call the Oneida County Convention & Visitors Bureau, exit 31 off I-90 (tel. 800/426-3132; 9am-7pm daily). For general information, contact the Central Leatherstocking Region tourist office (tel. 800/233-8778).

Getting Around

This is not the place to be without a car -- I-90 will be your quickest (if most boring) way of getting around; just be aware that it's a toll road. If you need a taxi, call Black & White (tel. 315/732-3121) or City Comb (tel. 315/724-5454).
