Though this 12-story tower by the Inner Harbour has a few standard rooms, the one- and two-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens are a better value. In recent years, the hotel has added some great features, such as an impressively upscale lobby, a day spa, and an improved fitness center with indoor pool. The rooms also received a complete overhaul, but the traditional-looking decor, though comfy, is fairly uninspired, and plastic plants look decidedly weird in verdant Victoria. Most units feature floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto private balconies; some of the suites are bi-level. The harbor views are quite spectacular and worth reserving. The best rooms are the 12th-floor deluxe penthouse suites with enormous bathrooms, Jacuzzi tubs, and fireplaces. The larger suites are great for families, and the gym has a glass-walled kids' play area, so you can keep your eyes on the little ones while working out.
