This quirkily distinctive inn, located right on the ocean at the end of a sand spit about 30km (19 miles) west of Victoria, has earned an international reputation for its sumptuous rooms, each furnished and decorated according to a particular Northwest theme, and its outstanding restaurant, which makes use of fragrant herbs and edible flowers from the inn's magnificent seaside gardens. Thanks to some clever architecture, all the rooms are awash in natural light and have fabulous ocean views. All have wood-burning fireplaces and sitting areas, most have sun decks and Jacuzzis or soaker tubs. Breakfast (served in your room) is included in the room rate.
