Frommer's Review
The Marriott is a high-rise hotel behind the old Crystal Gardens (a former indoor swimming pool and tourist attraction). Inside, you'll find lots of marble in the lobby, and all the usual Marriott amenities, including an added-price concierge level that offers a pleasant lounge with breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres. What you won't find is a whole lot of personality. The rooms are nice enough, especially the concierge-level suites on the 16th floor, but they're decorated in an indefinable style that's meant to look traditional but doesn't convey much beyond a cookie-cutter corporate aesthetic. The hotel has a good workout room and a nice big indoor pool. If you're a fan of Marriott, you'll find it all to your liking. If not, I'd suggest you look for a place with a bit more individuality, like Swans Suite Hotel or the Laurel Point Inn.
