For budget accommodations, you can't beat Hotel Don Tavo. It's located on the main drag and is more attractive than the facade would lead you to believe because it is centered around a pleasant backyard patio garden adorned with a landscape mural and bougainvillea. Rooms are nothing fancy, but simple and clean, with hot-water showers (not typical for budget lodging in Panama). They have an Internet center with fast connections on the premises. The restaurant here, which serves basic Panamanian dishes, is open daily from 7am to 11pm.
