For years, La Serre has served up the best food in the area, but, if you're like me, you'll be distracted by the dessert table before you even see a menu. Be sure to start your meal with an order of the clam puffs (a blend of clams, herbs, and cream cheese baked in puff pastry). The entree menu includes an excellent fisherman's stew, which is basically a cioppino with so much fish, shrimp, clams, crab, and oysters in it that you don't know where to start. The desserts, including tiramisu and berry cobbler, are as good as they look. There are inexpensive early-bird dinners until 6pm.
