Fishing

Several species of trout are found in Yosemite's streams. Guided fly-fishing trips in Yosemite for all levels are available from Yosemite Guides (tel. 877/425-3366; www.yosemiteguides.com). California fishing licenses are required for everyone 16 and older; information is available from the California State Department of Fish and Game (tel. 559/222-3761; www.dfg.ca.gov). There are also special fishing regulations in Yosemite Valley; get information at the visitor centers.
