Tips for Travelers with Special Needs
Pets are not particularly welcome at national parks. In Yosemite, pets are not allowed on unpaved trails or in buildings; they must be leashed at all times and may never be left alone. Pets are permitted in all campgrounds except Camp 4 Walk-In, Tamarack Flat, and Porcupine Flat. There's a dog kennel (tel. 209/372-8348), open daily 7:30am to 5pm in the summer, at the stable in Yosemite Valley. Dogs must be at least 16 weeks old, weigh over 20 pounds, and have a license and proof of current shots. The fee is $8 per day. Click the names below for more detailed information. Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice. Please be sure to confirm all rates and details directly with the companies in question before planning your trip.
