Another hot spot is a vaulted cubbyhole whose walls were adorned in 1951 with mosaics that showcase a version of Paris that Jacques Brel might have appreciated. (Though they were installed during the administration of other owners, they seem completely appropriate to the context of this sometimes giddy, ooh-la-lah bar where many of the clients seem to know one another.) Remo, the multilingual owner, charges 3.50F ($2.85/£1.50) for a beer.
