Campgrounds
There are several campgrounds along the McKenzie River on Ore. 126. Of these the Delta Campground, set under huge old-growth trees between Blue River and McKenzie Bridge, and Paradise, on the banks of the McKenzie, are two of the finest. If you are up this way to hike, mountain bike, or do some flat-water canoeing, there is no better choice than Clear Lake's Coldwater Cove Campground on Ore. 126 just south of Santiam Pass junction. Along the Aufderheide National Scenic Byway, you'll find several campgrounds. Cougar Crossing, toward the north end of the scenic byway, is the closest campground to Terwilliger Hot Springs. South of here, you'll find Frissell Crossing and French Pete, both of which are on the banks of the South Fork of the McKenzie River.
