The former travel editor of USA TODAY for 16 years, Veronica Stoddart is an independent travel writer and editor specializing in culinary and cultural travel. During more than four decades in travel journalism, she’s been recognized with dozens of awards, including TravMedia’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Travel Journalism, 13 Lowell Thomas Awards from the Society of American Travel Writers and seven awards from the North American Travel Journalists Association.
