Hili Archaeological Park
Located 10km (6 miles) north of Al Ain, this open-air archaeological park represents the oldest settlement in the U.A.E., dating back to the Bronze Age. Inhabitants were involved in agriculture and copper trade. There are several tombs here, including the large round structure surrounded by a moat at the center of the ruins. The two entrances to this grand tomb, where more than 250 skeletons were discovered, are decorated with human and animal relieves. Strangely, there's a small kids' play area here, too.
