Also known as “Norman’s Jalapeño,” this downtown favorite was opened more than 10 years ago by Norman Flores, a U.S. expat and world traveler. Burritos and chimichangas are the most popular dishes on the menu, but the tasty sopa Azteca, or tortilla soup, is also primo. Vegetarians have a number of choices. Jalapeños has a strong local following, so it’s sometimes hard to get a table in this tiny little spot.
