Getting your head around the vast distances and wide open spaces of Alberta can be daunting. There's a lot to see out here, but some of it is more interesting than other parts. Assuming that you're here to see spectacular scenery, not open expanses of plains, sticking to the western portion of the province is the best idea if you have limited time.
