If you’re looking for paella in Alicante, look no farther. Dársena offers more than 100 versions of the baked rice dish, including a number using various organ meats. Located on a pier in the harbor, this glamorous dining room is often the first choice of the yachtsmen who put in at Alicante. Generally speaking, all rice dishes are prepared for a minimum of two diners. The menu also offers a half-dozen meat options and another half-dozen fish plates. The fish are usually the best bet, but be sure to ask about the catch of the day. To eat farmed salmon (which is on the menu here) would be a shame, given that the Mediterranean laps at the pilings beneath the restaurant.
